Casio has introduced a miniature digital watch designed to be worn like a ring, bringing one of its most recognizable timepieces to an entirely new format. The CRW-002, released in November 2026, recreates the company’s classic A168 watch in a tiny, fully functional design available in silver and gold finishes.
Despite its unusual size, the ring watch does considerably more than display the time. It features a six-digit LCD screen, a stopwatch, an automatic calendar, dual-time functionality and an LED backlight. There’s even a small light that can pulse at a selected time or at the beginning of each hour, adding a playful touch to the miniature accessory.
Creating a working watch small enough to fit on a finger required some impressive engineering. Casio reduced the size of its conventional watch module to approximately one-tenth of the original, using specialized manufacturing techniques to reproduce the familiar metal case and bracelet design. The finished watch weighs just 15 grams and is water-resistant for everyday use.
The ring comes in a standard size equivalent to a U.S. 10.5, with two included spacers to accommodate smaller fingers. Its battery is replaceable and is expected to last approximately two years. Unlike many modern smart rings, however, the CRW-002 isn’t designed to track sleep, fitness or health data. Its appeal lies in combining traditional digital watch functions with an unconventional wearable design.
The silver version is priced at $135, while the gold version costs $155, placing both in the premium-accessory category rather than the budget-watch market. As holiday shopping approaches, Casio’s latest creation offers an unusual gift idea for collectors, retro-tech enthusiasts and anyone who appreciates a gadget that doesn’t look quite like anything else.
